For an at-home facial experience, check out the Spa Home Facial Steamer by #LiftCare. It is simple to set up, the top section sets on top of the steamer and you slightly turn it to lock into position. There an optional funnel for directed steam as well.
To begin I placed 50ml of water in the unit. I started on the lowest setting and it took the unit about two minutes to start bubbling and produce heat. I then placed three drops of the provided eucalyptus oil in the water. Within another minute steam was rising and the room was filled with the invigorating aroma. Once turned up to high heat, the water really bubbled and more steam rose. I have sensitive skin so the heat & steam generated on the high setting was too much for me to handle. What has worked best for me is to get the unit going by starting it in high. Once the steam is flowing I turn it to low and begin my steam facial. I like to use this along with my Clarisonic exfoliating brush for a true facial experience a few times a week. Along with anti-aging serums, I have seen a noticeable difference. If you have sensitivities to essential oils you can use the steamer without them. It also works great for colds and illnesses. One of my children got a croupy cough and couldn't sleep. I hooked the unit up in our bathroom and used the funnel accessory to direct the steam towards him. I used the low setting under strict supervision and it immediately helped his breathing.
